Kuyayky’s founders conform Kuyayky’s Touring Ensemble. They have performed in venues large and small, across three continents in their more than thirty years of trajectory. They have also led workshops with small children, taught college classes to undergraduate students and full professors, played their concert mass in historic venues, and more. Their main focus is the research, study, and performance of musical pieces from the pre-Incan, Incan, and colonial periods with an emphasis on the complexity of the rhythms and harmonies of Andean folklore that formed as a result of the acculturation transculturation and the enculturation processes endured by the people in the Andes.
Their resulting music recordings can be heard across all music media platforms online worldwide.
